Rev. David Kingsley Jonah Is the founder and Senior Pastor of United Evangelical Church (UEC Ministries) located in Hi-Tech City, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, India. And he is also the founder UEC ministries. With over twenty-five years in the ministry, he is a very popular speaker, prayer warrior, and Bible teacher in India, Middle East, and New Zealand. Recently in December 2016, Pastor Jonah started United Evangelical Church- Auckland branch under the UEC ministries at Wesley Methodist Roskill Church- 276 Mount Albert Road, Sandringham, Auckland. Pastor Jonah was raised in the Church of South India-Medak Diocese and completed his schooling in a Missionary school. After his completion of college studies from Osmania University with a Commerce degree with a top rank in Degree College, he joined an MBA course at Kakatiya University -Warangal. He secured the second position in the University and started his professional career with Praga Tools Limited – a Ministry of Defence undertaking. Later he moved to the Middle East and worked there for over five years with one of the reputed companies in eastern provenance.
By profession, he is a New Zealand Chartered Accountant and a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ). He also Certified Practising Accountants (CPA) and holds membership in CPA – Australia. Further, the obtained his Masters of Taxation degree (with a distinction from Auckland University. He is currently working for the Inland Revenue Department (Investigations) – New Zealand.
Pastor Jonah, graduated from the University of Auckland in Theology majoring in Biblical Studies and Christian Thought & History.
Before moving to Middle-East, he was extensively served as a worship leader and Associate Pastor. Pastor Jonah’s life was transformed through a word he read at the Bible House-Ranigunj. He talks about how he found one of the Bible opened and placed in a showcase. As he had a closer look, His eyes were fastened at Matthew 6:33 which states, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you”. He says, at the time, he was exploring ways to become a prominent man and was living a restless life.
The Spirit of God convicted him that day. He was thinking about the Word of the God that came to him while traveling back home on that rather quiet evening. The Holy Spirit God spoke to him to keep his priorities in the right order. From that day forward, he took that step to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. He obeyed the voice of God, and there has been no turning back. Looking back at it now, the Lord has prospered him both physically, mentally and spiritually.
Pastor Jonah served after his conversion and made peace with God he served as a Worship Leader and Associate Pastor. During his ministry, while waiting on the Lord at All Night prayer, he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
His extensive business and accounting background brings a unique flavor to his teaching. Pastor Jonah’s strongest areas of education are faith, prayer, God’s love, the Holy Spirit and the end times. During ministry, he operates freely in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He uses real-life examples to make the Gospel clear and straightforward to understand. Also, he makes a theological concept simple makes it enjoyable and easy for everyone to understand. There has been a tremendous response from people who say their lives have been changed and found the written daily devotions to be a great encouragement for their spiritual growth.
Pastor Jonah is a Bible teacher, Chartered Accountant, Tax Expert, Business Advisor, and Author. His great passion is to encourage believers through the teaching of faith in God’s word and live a holy and acceptable life. He and his wife, Sandhya, have been blessed with two children – Richie and Roshan.
