There was this holy man that was taking a bath in a river. He saw a scorpion floundering around in the water. He decided to save it. So he stretched out his hand to pick up the scorpion but the scorpion stung him.
The holy man again tried to get the scorpion out of the water but the scorpion stung him again. This went on for several times. A man was standing nearby and saw what was happening. He told the holy man to stop saving the scorpion that kept stinging him.
The holy man asked, "Do you know why scorpion stung me?" The man said: "It is the nature of the scorpion to sting."
Holy man answered, "It is my nature to love. If a small insect like scorpion does not give up his nature, why should I give up my nature? Should I give up loving other because they hurt me?"
Don't give up loving. Don't give up your goodness. Even if people around you sting.
God created mankind in His image (Genesis 1-27), further, it states in 1 John 4:8 that God is Love. Therefore, in essence, we are Love. I don't know why some children of God keeping hate in their hearts. No ,saints we should not.
Love must be in our heart, love must be in our mind. And even if we are cut (or hurt by others), we must bleed love.
